A delicious dessert recipe in celebration of national chocolate pudding day

There is a lot to love about chocolate pudding. It’s comforting, decadent and an appropriate dessert for any season. Fortunately, there’s been an entire day set aside to enjoy this delicious dessert completely guilt-free! On 26th June, 2019 we celebrate Chocolate Pudding Day, and you should definitely indulge.

What’s the history of National Chocolate Pudding Day?

Did you know that dessert puddings can be traced all the way back to the 17th century? However, during that time, a “pudding” was actually a very moist cake, akin to a bread pudding or plum pudding.
The sweet, creamy goodness that we know and love today didn’t in fact emerge until the mid-19th century when Alfred Bird, an English chemist, developed an egg-free custard powder. This incredible invention made it extremely easy to produce a delicious pudding with the perfect consistency! Today, pudding is a popular dessert across the globe.
